01How do I cancel my subscription?

iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Notevo → Cancel Subscription.

Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Notevo → Cancel subscription.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription; cancel it in the store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.

02Can I get a refund?

Apple and Google take the payments, so refunds are handled by the store. iPhone: reportaproblem.apple.com. Android: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history, or Google Play's refund page.

03How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Delete account. The encryption keys of your lectures are deleted, so your audio, notes and other content become permanently unreadable. You can export your data first from Settings → Export my data.

04Recording stops in the background

Recording continues when the screen is locked or you switch apps. On iPhone, make sure the microphone permission is on (Settings → Notevo → Microphone). On Android, keep the Notevo notification that appears while recording, and allow Notevo to run in the background in battery settings (Settings → Apps → Notevo → Battery → Unrestricted).

A phone call can take over the microphone and pause the recording; check that it resumed after the call.

05Parts of my recording are missing

Recordings upload in 60-second chunks. Without a connection the chunks wait on your phone, and the app retries the upload automatically once you are back online. Just open the app while connected, and do not uninstall it until everything has uploaded.

06My lecture is stuck processing

Processing usually takes a few minutes; long lectures take a little longer. If it does not move for a long time, open the lecture and tap Retry. If it still fails, write to us with the lecture's name.

07My notes are in the wrong language

Choose the language you want in Settings → Note language, then open the lecture and tap Reprocess. The spoken language of the lecture is detected automatically; your note language can differ from it.

08How do groups work?

Create a group and share its invite code or link; friends join by entering the code or tapping the link. You can turn on auto-share for a course or share a single lecture. Notes are shared; raw audio is shared only if you turn on its separate switch. You can report content and block people.

09Am I allowed to record?

Many universities and countries require the lecturer's permission. Read our Recording Consent Guide before you record, and ask your lecturer if you are unsure.
